I recently enjoyed a charming stay, where I appreciated the cozy atmosphere and delightful menu options, particularly the chicken peri peri that was simply delicious. The staff was accommodating, making sure to meet dietary preferences. the noise from the nearby car park at night was a bit disruptive.

Had a great time with friends! The pub is in a quiet area, making it perfect for relaxation after our visits to Badgemore Park and Waterstock Golf Club. The rooms were clean and comfy, and the staff were friendly. It's a solid choice for a group getaway.
We were disappointed with the breakfast experience, as it consisted only of a cooked option and was served on burnt toast. A bit more variety would have been nice.

the staff were super friendly, made us feel welcome from the start. the room was realy comfy with a nice cozy vibe. the food was decent but found the veggie main a bit bland. loved the chips tho, they're awesome! and the whole place has this nice pub feel which is great.
one downside was the noisy car park at night and the internet connection was pretty bad.

The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated, ensuring a comfortable stay. Enjoyed a delightful dinner with fantastic food, particularly the pork that my partner couldn't stop raving about. the bar area felt a bit underwhelming, and the dining space was cluttered with furniture, which detracted from the overall experience. A minor downside was the lack of variety in room arrangements, as only single beds were available. the warm hospitality from the staff made up for these issues.

perfect base for exploring parks and charming local spots
During my stay, I loved that I could easily stroll to Watlington Park, just about 2.5 km away, where the views were stunning, and enjoyed friendly conversations with locals while munching on a delicious gammon meal at a nearby pub that welcomed us like family, enhancing the overall charm of the area. the only downside was that the wifi had a brief hiccup one evening, but they sorted it out quickly.

Rooms clean and comfy, with a nice cozy vibe. Noisy car park at night disturbed sleep. Perfect base for hiking the Ridgeway nearby. Food decent, but veggie main not very flavorful.
